Queen's University Belfast

Queen's University Belfast is a Gold Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE‑CSE). The ACE-CSE is awarded from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to universities demonstrating excellence in cyber security education. Our diverse ACE-CSE team is led from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EEECS) with staff from each faculty and professional services including Information Services, People and Culture, Careers, and Student Affairs. Since its foundation in 2009, the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s has developed a strong reputation in this critical technology area. We have also been recognised as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) since 2011. Together, we are delivering Queen’s cyber security strategy to strengthen cyber security awareness and knowledge across all education pathways, operational areas of the institution and the wider community.

The University of South Wales’ designation as a Gold Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE‑CSE) represents the highest level of recognition within the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)-backed programme. It reflects sustained excellence across teaching, student outcomes, industry collaboration, outreach, and research and brings wide-ranging benefits to learners, employers, and the wider Welsh and UK community. As an Academic Centre of Excellence, we demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting the wider cyber security community. This includes delivering impactful outreach to schools and colleges, building collaborative partnerships with other higher education institutions, and actively contributing to the development of wider cyber security policies and strategic action plans.

UWE ACE-CSE

University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)

UWEcyber is a collective of academics at the University of the West of England (Bristol, UK) with a passion for cyber security. UWEcyber are active in teaching, research, outreach, and external industry engagement. We collaborate and share with the community, and we strive to improve cyber security for our region and beyond. We are recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE). We offer 3 taught programmes that are all NCSC-certified: BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, MSc Cyber Security, and BSc Cyber Security Technical Professional (Degree Apprenticeship).
