The Aston Centre for Cyber Security Innovation (CSI) brings together academics, industry, government and the wider community to address the complex and evolving challenges of cyber security.

Our work connects expertise across information security, corporate governance, risk management, law, criminology, psychology, linguistics, intelligence and human factors. Through this cross-disciplinary approach, CSI supports research, innovation, policy engagement and skills development that help organisations strengthen their cyber security resilience.

CSI focuses on cyber security as both a technical and human challenge. Our activities include:

• Delivering cross-disciplinary research in cyber security, privacy, trusted AI, organisational resilience and cyber risk management

• Supporting businesses and public-sector organisations through innovation projects, workshops and knowledge exchange

• Engaging with policy and industry discussions around cyber security, AI, national infrastructure, digital finance and cyber risk

• Helping develop the next generation of cyber security specialists through education, training and awareness-raising

CSI works with organisations of all sizes, from large enterprises to SMEs and micro-businesses, helping them better understand cyber threats and improve their cyber security posture.

Our research and innovation activities contribute to safer digital business, stronger organisational resilience and a more secure connected economy.
