Cyberscape 2026
Organised by Deepak GC
Kingston University LondonThis was the first and largest cyber security event held at Kingston University since the institution achieved Gold status in the Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE). The discussion was broad and covered a range of topics, from AI security and the evolving threat landscape to the role of women in the cyber security industry. In the context of recent cyber attack incidents, for example, the compromise of freezer software by cyber attackers, which resulted in significant food wastage, cyber security is now more important than ever, particularly for food security, global warming and sustainable development. One of the main objectives of the Kingston ACE-CSE-Gold is to encourage emerging cyber leaders to collaborate with industry, the local community and researchers. Accordingly, we encouraged students and the Kingston Tech Society to lead the event, with support from cyber academics, professionals, and the ACE-CSE team. The event was well organised and achieved its objectives, and we will continue to hold such events in the future.
